In Memory

Debbie Bishop (Clarke)

Debbie Bishop (Clarke)

From Deb Bishop Clarke's husband. We are so sorry to have to bring you this sad news that our Deb passed away on February 21, after recent complications and illness. We are so thankful she went peacefully with us by her side. Following her wishes, we will have a simple and private remembrance, at St. Cecilia’s Church in St. Paul Minnesota and she will be interred at Mepkin Abbey, a Trappist Monastery in South Carolina. In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to Nebraska Children’s Home Society. NCHS has a special place in all our hearts as Deb worked as an Adoption Case Worker for 10 years and both her daughters were adopted from there. Donate Online: NCHS.org or By Mail: Attn: Donations NCHS 4939 South 118th Street, Omaha, NE 68137 She will be immensely missed as our wife, mom, grandma and friend. We love her so much and will always cherish her strength and selfless love for all of us.

This is indeed sad news. As a high school classmate and a Minnesota neighbor, I will very much miss our communications. We were looking forward to a lunch out this Spring as the Minnesota Winter wained and the green grass began to appear. She was a kind person with a great sense of humor and much too young to leave us all. I know she is intensely missed by her family. She was so proud of her beautiful daughters and grandchildren. I can only wish her peace as she now has embarked on her new journey.

I was so sorry to see this! I really enjoyed knowing Deb in high school, and I enjoyed reconnecting with her on facebook and hearing about her life in Minnesota.

I am very sorry for your loss, and my prayers go out to you, her family.

Debbie and I became close in the last few years through the magic of Facebook.  She was a kind and giving person who was good enough to house-sit for our dog and cat for a few weeks when we traveled.  She liked to get out of the Minnesota winters, so the arrangement suited us perfectly.  I miss her on Facebook and I am sad knowing we will have no more chances to visit in person.  She was a person of strong faith who loved her family and friends very much.  Blessings on your journey, Debbie Bishop Clarke!
