Bernadette was taken from us in a terrible manner. I remember her being happy and always bringing people joy. She didn't show up for work on Tuesday and so a co-worker checked on her. Then seeing something suspicious she called 911. Bernadette was discovered slain in her home.

A couple of days later they found her car in a parking lot close to her home. She died from upper body trauma.

On 8/8/2003 Pinellas Park man charged in strangling. Charles Edward Halm 43 yrs old. He knew her and had painted her house in 2000. He was seen in the area March 3rd.

So tragic. I had stayed friends with Bernadette when she had Christopher. What a ball of energy she was!  She loved her son so.
