Friday night's fun will be a 5 to 8 pm Sunset Celebration at the Toasted Monkey Beach Bar which is on the property of the Howard Johnson's (Wyndam) hotel. A light menu of meatballs in rose' sauce, grilled teriyaki chicken strips, sliced Cuban sandwiches and stuffed mushrooms will be served along with a cash bar at Happy Hour prices. Saturday night's big event will be a dinner dance from 6 to10 at Silas Dent's banquet room at 5501 Gulf Blvd., St Pete Beach. Dinner will be a mixed green salad with poppy seed vinaigrette and a choice of Roasted Prime Rib of Beef, Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon with maple glaze or Chicken Rockefeller (topped with spinach, parmesan cheese and Alfredo sauce), each with rice pilaf and sauteed fresh vegetables. Bread and butter and sodas and unsweet tea are included. A cash bar will be available. Our favorite band, the Southside Bulldogs, will rock us with Golden Oldies. The price for the dinner/dance is $50 per person.

Sunday will be an optional brunch at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant at 2151 54th Ave N followed by a tour of Northeast High led by Viking Athletic Hall of Fame and former City Councilman, Coach Bill Dudley at noon.
There is no required motel, but the Howard Johnson where the Friday night event at the Toasted Monkey is located is in walking distance to Silas Dents, gets good ratings and is as reasonable as any other St Pete Beach Gulffront motel. WE ARE WORKING ON CRUISES!!! MOST FROM TAMPA ARE OVER FOR THE YEAR (EXCEPT REPOSITIONING TO EUROPE) BUT THERE IS ONE THAT HAS JUST BEEN ANNOUNCED....THE FIRST CRUSE FROM TAMPA THAT INCLUDES CUBA! If there is a big enough group that emails that they want to form a group, we will help that happen. It leaves Tampa on April 30th for 7 nights in the Western Caribbean with one day/night in Havana.
